Real…

GO:
I am leaving a legacy. I forget my actions have consequences. And then I remember and start over. My legacy can be found in my children, in my work, in my love for Someone Greater than Myself. I am leaving a legacy.

What do I want my legacy to say? I want to show kindness. I want to show mercy. I want to have no regrets, not one.

But most of all, I want every single person I encounter to see me. The Real Me. The one with the confidence problem when she walks into a room full of people she doesn't know. The one who hides in her room because she's reached her social limit for the day. The one who puts on the brave face when her husband goes[for work], hides the terror from thinking that maybe this time she won't survive being a single parent.

This is the Real Me. But she also loves her family more than her own life. She also knows God IS in control. She also loves spontaneous adventures, and if you are fortunate enough to penetrate to her inner circle, is the most loyal friend you will have.

My legacy.

STOP.

Want to play? Head on over to The Gypsy Mama, find some inspiration from others just like you and me, and then join in the fun.

  1. I am SO thankful that I get to know the REAL you. I have no idea where my heart and head would be right now if I hadn't met you a little over a year ago. You have most definitely left a legacy with me. Just sayin'.

And you can come visit any time your big heart desires. :-)

  2. Excellent read, I just passed this onto a colleague who was doing a little research on that. And he actually bought me lunch as I found it for him smile Thus let me rephrase that: Thank you for lunch!
